MUDHRA, Bhaskar has cast an indelible mark among musicians and music
lovers through his innovative, revolutionary and thought provoking
concepts in music. Though keeping
within traditional boundaries, he has successfully attempted in
bringing about a fresh approach to concert music by organising several
novel theme- based festivals like One Raga One Kriti Festival, Tukkada
Festival, Kalpita Festival, Tala Festival, Pallavi Festival, etc.

He
is also the pioneer in
organising Four hour concerts and special One Day Seminars on
contemporary issues in music.
He
has written an article on carnatic music in the special music issue of
Gentleman Magazine.

mridangist having learnt under stalwarts like Mannargudi
A. Easwaran and Karaikudi Mani. At present he is learning from
Tiruvarur Bakthavatsalam. He has accompanied many leading musicians
and travelled all over India. He is a recipient of the Best Mrudangam
artiste award from Krishna Gana Sabha in 1990.

with the aim to document in audio all the special concepts implemented
in Mudhra.
