6.30 p.m. - Inauguration - Hon'ble Justice K.S.Bakthavatsalam inaugurated the Tamil art festival on 5th June 2002 at Narada Gana Sabha. Sri A.Natarajan, Former Director, Doordharshan & Vice-President Mudhra felicitated. 
6.45 p.m. -  Muththamizh Muzhakkam - a splendid group dance programme on Iyal Isai Natakam , depicting the glory of Tamil culture by the students of Kalaimamani Krishnakumari Narendran.The music was scored by violin maestro Dr.Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan.

After noon session : The post lunch session elucidated the grammar involved in writing lyrics as Dr.Va.Ve.Su and the method of putting them to tune by L.Krishnan.
